Accounting Technician

Under the supervision of the administrative coordinator, the position holder is responsible for monitoring accounts receivable (1/3), as well as the various steps in the accounts payable cycle for the different establishments of the Jaro group. They may also be required to perform any other related tasks as requested by their supervisor.

Job description

  • Ensure the compliance of the terms and conditions of accounts;
  • Contact clients with overdue accounts while maintaining a harmonious relationship with the client;
  • Follow up on agreed arrangements and ensure compliance;
  • Verify and validate the amounts received from clients;
  • Record and reconcile payments received in the accounting system;
  • Verify the accuracy of issued invoices;
  • Code and enter invoices into the accounting system;
  • Distribute supplier invoices to authorized personnel for approval;
  • Issue weekly and monthly disbursements;
  • Verify and follow up on statements of accounts received from suppliers;
  • Maintain good communication with operations, purchasing staff, and suppliers;
  • Open supplier accounts;
  • Manage the accounts payable service email box, in collaboration with the team.

Education

  • DEC or AEC in accounting and management, or DEP in secretarial studies or accounting, or other relevant training;
  • Experience in a similar position (asset);
  • Any combination of experience and training will be considered.

Skills

  • Functional English;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure;
  • Recognized for professionalism, tact, and discretion;
  • A team player, versatile, and autonomous;
  • Proactive, flexible, and demonstrates a strong ability to adapt;
