Job description
- Plans staffing needs for various scheduled events;
- Ensure the cleanliness of the premises at all times;
- Greets clients upon their arrival;
- Ensure that quality and excellence standards are met;
- Manage the staff and ensure the general management of the restaurant;
- Assist staff on duty when necessary;
- Fill the beer and wine coolers daily;
- Handle the occasional complaints;
- Distribute tasks to employees;
- Deal with reports and happy hour inventories;
- Distribute tips to employees;
- Write the floor plan and distribute the sections;
- Ensure all bottles are sealed;
- Verify employee households (of their sections);
- Manage staff time (hours worked);
- Ensures payroll costs are controlled;
- Organize promotions.
Education
- Hotel management course diploma or equivalent training;
- Oenology course (an asset).
Skills
- Fluency in French (to communicate with local clientele);
- Intermediate English (to communicate with international clientele);
- Acute knowledge of cocktails, liqueurs and spirits;
- Computer skills (Master D);
- Interpersonal skills, leadership;
- Ability to work in a team;
- Critical thinking skills;
- Diplomacy;
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Good communicator;
- Works well under pressure;
- 1 year of table service experience.
