Reception supervisor

Under the supervision of the Reception Manager, the Reception Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that reception operations run smoothly and comply with the standards set by the organisation. He must ensure that the reception is courteous and personalised. They must greet customers, check them in and take telephone calls. He will also carry out any other related tasks assigned by his superior.

Job description

  • Manage customer complaints and requests and follow up as necessary;
  • Supervise the day-to-day running of the reception and interdepartmental communications department;
  • Document disciplinary deficiencies to the Director;
  • Supervise the team in the performance of their duties;
  • Make the necessary preparations for customer requests;
  • Carry out the cycle of tasks for reception clerks;
  • Be involved and consulted in certain strategic decisions;
  • Intervene in emergency situations.

Requirements

  • DEC in hotel or administrative management or;
  • Relevant experience.

Skills

  • Ability to manage stress;
  • Good judgement;
  • Very good knowledge of written and spoken French (to communicate with local clientele);
  • Very good knowledge of written and spoken English (to communicate regularly with international clientele);
  • Responsible and autonomous.
